So, the show goes on and I record this episode in the solitude of our home. I’m all alone and that has its advantages…

More storage allocated for the show

I realized that my account storage level for the podcast, that I used during the ”intermission” from 2009 until now, was way too low. So I just upgraded to a premium account over at libsyn and got an aditional 200 Mb/month of storage.

So now I have no storage issues preventing me from podcasting multiple times a week. Just time issues and perhaps permission issues. Permission from the wife that is…!

New show coming up as soon as I can get you guys to tell me what to talk about. Apart from the stuff I already have in store for you. Let me know.

Be social!

I just added a social plug-in for the site so you can more easily share the information with your own network, regardless of if you have it on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Tumblr etc.

So, go ahead and share away!

Female voice over wanted

On the previous version of the PBP I got help from the talented fellow podcaster Allison Lee to record a short intro and outro for the show.

Those files feel slightly outdated now, and therefor I am in search of someone – preferably a female – who has the time and equipment to record a similar snippet for the v2.0 of the Polarbear.

If you think you can help, please email me at andy@polarbearpodcast.com and attach a small sample of your voice. If I like what I hear I will get back to you with further instructions and a simple script.

Hoping for a massive reaction on this! :-)

Music or no music?

I’m debating with myself wether or not I should have music in the show.

There is still some great tunes out there on musicalley.com that I can use and that deserves som spreading, but it also forces me to use a higher bitrate (quality) on the show, leaving me with bigger files and slower dowloads for you guys. Putting music in the show also adds to the editing, but that isn’t a major problem really.

What do you think? Do you like the idea of having music on the show, or is it just the same for you?

Let me know what you think and I will be one step closer to putting out the first show.

/ Andy

Getting ready

I am in the process of finding myself a decent studio headset that will record audio in a quality that I am happy with. Decided on going with a simple technical solution this time, since I don’t want to be stuck in a “studio” whilst recording, but can do the show pretty much anywhere, as long as I have my headset.

I haven’t found a good enough one yet, but the search continues…!

Update: heading out to our local netonnet.se store to the Sennheiser PC333D out. Get back to you later with what I thought about them.
