The show!

Hard facts

Polarbear Podcast
is about sharing a piece of sweden. I am of course not speaking on behalf of every swede, but giving you one swedes perspective.

Polarbear Podcast
is not political, or driven by political causes. It's more about sharing philosophical ideas on matters and looking at things around us in a skeptical and often cynical way.

Polarbear Podcast
will discuss issues on both a global scale and a local one, never forgetting the details that make us who we are.

Polarbear Podcast
can be considered as educational on a light basis when we try to unviel some of the myths surrounding the contry of Sweden and its people.

Polarbear Podcast
is of course about laughing at strange and sometimes bizarre events in this country. Highlighting the never ending stupidity of the human race.

Polarbear Podcast
will take your mind off things for 30 minutes every week.

I don't know if I can define what the show is all about
at this point, but here is shot at it!

It all started...
...with a little podcast called Skepticality! I found it after having done my first search on iTunes for podcasts. I liked it, started to listen to it on a regular basis and found out that this new thing called podcasting was cool.

After having read an article in the swedish version of MacWorld about the subject i decided to try it on my own. I had been a hobby musician for ages but felt I needed a new drug! But it trurned out I also needed som help along the way.

This is when it got really intense, cause I mailed Swoopy at skepticality with a question and within 8 hours I got an answer from her. I was speachless. There in my mailbox was an actual mail from the girl who got me hooked on podcasting. At this point I started to realize what a great community this is. Everybody's really helpfull and tolerant. I also got in contact with Rob at podcast411 (a tip from Swoopy) who since then has helped me out a number of times.

I put the first show together, not really having a clue of what I was going to say, but it worked. It's probably one of the worst shows on the podcasting scene, but it happened. And everything after that is history now.

Today I plan my shows, write guidelines and so on. I hope this is reflected on the show if you compare the first show from the most recent one. I've also had som issues with the soundquality but I think I'm home there as well.

That's about it folks!
